Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of ONETO. By creating an account, or by otherwise accessing or using ONETO, a user agrees to these Terms.

These Terms work together with the rule pages they reference — Community Rules, Prohibited Activities, Task Marketplace Rules, Signal Publishing Rules, Trust & Safety, Reports & Appeals, and the Privacy Policy — which are incorporated into this agreement by reference. Platform Governance explains how those pages relate to one another and to these Terms; it is an orientation page, not a contract, and does not sit above these Terms or replace them. Where a specific rule page and these Terms appear to differ on the same subject, these Terms control for contractual matters, and the specific rule page controls for the operational detail it describes.

Some features may come with additional terms specific to that feature (for example, a future payment provider's own terms). Where that happens, those additional terms are called out at the point they apply, and this document remains the general agreement underneath them.

A user must have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms and must meet ONETO's minimum age requirement.

A user must provide accurate account information, keep it current, and is responsible for activity that occurs under their account. Users must protect their own credentials, must not share or sell account access, and must not create an account to impersonate another person or organization or to evade a restriction ONETO has placed on them or their prior account.

Account creation requires an email address, and email verification confirms control of that email address only — it is not identity verification, professional verification, or a background check. Where ONETO separately reviews submitted professional materials, that review is described in Section 8 and is limited in the same way.

A user may act on behalf of an Organization only where the underlying account holder has the actual authority to do so, and remains personally responsible for actions taken in that capacity. An Organization on ONETO is represented through the individual user accounts with membership in it; it is not, today, an independent login identity separate from the people who act for it.

ONETO is built around two things: Task, a structured way to get real-world work done across borders, and Signal, a way to publish and read local business information. ONETO provides the platform, workflow, and supporting infrastructure that make Task and Signal work — including the Global Network, Profiles, Organizations, messaging, translation, Professional Qualification review, evidence handling, payment workflow, Contact Center, and the operational tools staff currently use to support the platform.

ONETO provides the marketplace and workflow through which requesters and executors interact. ONETO generally does not itself perform the Task services requested between users; if ONETO expressly agrees to provide a specific service itself, that service is governed by its own separate agreement. This does not change ONETO's basic platform role: ONETO is not an employer, staffing agency, or agent of any user, and does not act on a user's behalf in their dealings with other users or third parties. ONETO is not a professional advisor, is not an insurer, is not a bank, and — consistent with Section 9 below — does not currently operate as a payment escrow provider. ONETO does not verify every user, claim, piece of evidence, or Signal, and providing the platform is not itself a representation that a particular user, claim, or outcome is genuine, safe, lawful, or successful.

A Task is published by a requester describing a defined, lawful, independently reviewable outcome, and is carried out by a single accepting executor who takes on responsibility for delivering it. Execution follows an agreed Work Order; the executor submits evidence against that Work Order; the requester reviews the evidence and may accept it or request a revision tied to a specific, stated gap; and acceptance records that decision inside the platform workflow. A material change to scope, timing, or budget goes through a Change Order where the product supports it, rather than an informal message. ONETO's model is one Task, one responsible executor, one evidence package, and one acceptance decision — it does not split a Task across multiple executors or settle it in parts.

Requesters are responsible for the accuracy, lawful authority, and completeness of what they publish. Executors are responsible for assessing their own suitability and for carrying out the Task lawfully, safely, and within their own competence. The detailed operating rules for publishing, accepting, executing, reviewing, and completing a Task are set out in the Task Marketplace Rules, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference and are not restated here.

Signal authors are responsible for what they publish — its accuracy, its sources, and their right to publish it. Signal content is informational; publication by an author does not mean ONETO has authored, endorsed, or independently verified it, and a provenance or source-context label describes only the limited basis shown, not a guarantee of truth. Signal supports structured comments and contributions, and some Signal content may be restricted to subscribers subject to the access settings and subscription boundary described in the Signal Publishing Rules, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

The English product name is Signal. Public terminology may be localized in other languages according to ONETO's approved terminology standards, and is not described publicly, in any language, as "intelligence," "business intelligence," or similar branding.

A user retains ownership of content they lawfully own and upload to ONETO — including Task descriptions, evidence, Signal content, comments, messages, and profile information. By uploading content, a user grants ONETO a license to host, store, display, format, translate, transmit, and otherwise process that content to the extent reasonably necessary to operate the platform features the user is using — for example, showing a published Signal to its intended audience, making Task evidence available to the parties entitled to see it, or running it through the translation functionality described in the Platform Governance page. This license is limited to operating the service; it is not a broad, perpetual, irrevocable, or unlimited commercial-reuse license, and it ends for a given piece of content when that content is removed from the platform, except to the extent a copy needs to be retained in platform records consistent with the Privacy Policy or applicable law.

The scope of this license differs by content type. Public content — a published Signal, a public profile field, a public comment — is made available to the audience the relevant feature is designed to reach. Private content — direct messages, Task evidence, private execution details, professional-qualification materials — is made available only to the participants and roles the platform routes it to, and is not published or used beyond that without the user's authorization, except as needed for platform safety, legal, or technical operation as described in the Privacy Policy.

Users must have the rights needed for content they upload, and must not upload content that infringes another party's rights or that they lack authority to share.

The ONETO name, brand, software, platform design, and documentation belong to ONETO or its licensors. These Terms do not grant a user any right to the platform itself beyond the limited right to access and use it as intended. Users must not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, scrape without authorization, or otherwise misuse the platform outside of that intended use.

A user who believes content on ONETO infringes their intellectual-property rights can raise it through the Contact Center.

Where a user submits professional materials and ONETO reviews them, that review means the submitted materials were reviewed for platform display and eligibility — nothing more. It is not a government license, a professional certification, a regulatory approval, or an endorsement of the person's services, and it does not replace a regulator or official registry. A user displaying a reviewed qualification remains responsible for maintaining the underlying professional authority that qualification describes, and for complying with the professional rules that actually govern any regulated service they provide, on or off the platform. Anyone relying on a professional's qualifications for something important should verify current status directly with the relevant regulator or registry.

ONETO may set platform fees and commission for use of the Task Marketplace. Under the currently approved commercial policy, a new paid Task carries a platform commission of 20%, with a 0% requester surcharge, except that a Task requiring a reviewed Legal Professional qualification currently carries a 0% platform commission. This structure may change; the version in effect at the time a Task is priced is the one that applies to it.

Today, funding, commission, and settlement — including any "funded," "paid," "settled," or "refund-eligible" status shown in the product — are tracked entirely through ONETO's own internal workflow. ONETO does not currently connect to a live, regulated payment provider; does not hold funds in legal escrow; and does not execute a real external payout or a real-money refund. Any such status reflects an internal or test-mode workflow state, not a completed financial transaction. Real-money payment capability depends on a separately approved payment phase and a connected provider integration that is not deployed today, and nothing in this section should be read as promising a launch date or a specific future feature. Once real payment-provider capability is added, use of it may be subject to that provider's own terms in addition to this section, and this section will be updated to match what is actually deployed.

Each user is responsible for determining and meeting their own tax, duty, reporting, and other professional or regulatory obligations arising from their activity on ONETO, in whatever jurisdiction those obligations apply. ONETO does not provide tax advice and does not determine a user's tax position for them.

Users must comply with Community Rules, Prohibited Activities, the Task Marketplace Rules, and the Signal Publishing Rules, which set out in detail the conduct expected of participants and the conduct that is never allowed on ONETO. Those rules are incorporated into these Terms by reference and are not restated here. A serious or repeated violation of those rules is a breach of these Terms and may lead ONETO to take the measures described in Section 12.

ONETO reserves the right, where supported, appropriate, and permitted by applicable law, to restrict access to a feature, remove or restrict content, pause a workflow, suspend a platform capability, restrict or suspend an account, preserve records related to a concern, and terminate a user's access to ONETO. These are reserved contractual rights describing what ONETO's agreement with its users allows it to do as capability is built out — they are not a representation that every corresponding enforcement tool is deployed today. Consistent with Trust & Safety and Reports & Appeals, ONETO does not currently operate a unified moderation console, an automated violation-detection system, or a formal, tracked appeal process; the concrete tools available today, and their current scope, are described in those pages and are not expanded by this section.

A user may stop using ONETO at any time.

Signal content and Signal comments currently have a dedicated in-product reporting option, described in Reports & Appeals. Other concerns — about a Task, a profile, a message, an account, or anything else — should be raised through the Contact Center, ONETO's formal contact channel. Submitting a report or a Contact Center case does not guarantee a specific review outcome, a fixed response time, or that every case receives an individual human reply; it creates a platform record that supports review where operationally available. ONETO is not an emergency service — a real-world safety emergency should always go to local emergency services, not to ONETO.

ONETO's operation currently involves third-party services — for example, translation providers and cloud hosting infrastructure — and may in the future involve a payment provider. Where a user's use of ONETO involves a third-party service, that service's own terms and privacy practices may also apply, and ONETO is not responsible for a third party's independent acts or omissions. ONETO does not publish unnecessary internal detail about its vendors beyond what is needed to describe a feature or is required by law.

ONETO may modify, improve, limit, or discontinue a feature of the platform, and availability may change over time as the product evolves.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, ONETO is provided on an "as available" basis. ONETO does not guarantee that a user's identity, claims, evidence, or content are accurate or genuine; does not guarantee a particular Task or commercial outcome; does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service; and does not guarantee that automated translation is accurate — the original content remains authoritative. Signal content is informational and is not investment, legal, tax, financial, medical, or other regulated advice from ONETO.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded, and these disclaimers do not cancel a specific commitment expressly made elsewhere in an approved governance document.

ONETO may update these Terms as the platform and its capabilities change. An updated version will be published at this location, and the version in effect at the time of a given use governs that use, subject to applicable law.

These Terms remain in effect for as long as a user has an account or otherwise uses ONETO. Certain provisions are intended to survive the end of a user's account or use of ONETO where their purpose requires it — including intellectual-property ownership, any outstanding payment-related obligations, the liability and indemnity provisions, the dispute-resolution provisions, and ONETO's ability to retain records where legally permitted or required, consistent with the Privacy Policy. This survival list is not intended to be broader than necessary to give those provisions their intended effect.

The Contact Center is ONETO's formal channel for questions about these Terms, including account, Task, Signal, safety, privacy, legal, and partnership matters. Until a dedicated legal-notice channel is established, the Contact Center may be used for general legal inquiries concerning ONETO.
