Prohibited Activities
ONETO exists to make cross-border work and business information easier to trust and act on. That depends on people using the platform honestly. This page sets out, in plain terms, the conduct that is not allowed on ONETO — across Tasks, Signal, the Global Network, and messaging — and makes clear that responsibility for lawful, honest conduct stays with the user, whether or not a specific ONETO tool catches a violation.
Fraud, Identity & Evidence
Fraud and Deception
Users may not use ONETO to commit, solicit, or facilitate fraud, or to obtain money, work, agreement, or information through deception. This includes misrepresenting facts material to a Task or Signal — the outcome needed, the budget or reward, a deadline, what evidence will show, or what was actually delivered — and using staged or misleading claims to induce another user to act.
Identity and Impersonation
Users may not impersonate another person or organization, or misrepresent their own identity, authority, affiliation, location, qualifications, or results. A Task must not require an executor to misrepresent their identity or authority to complete it. Profile, organization, and discovery information must reflect who a user actually is, not a fabricated or borrowed identity.
Evidence and Record Manipulation
Users may not fabricate, stage, alter, or recycle evidence, or present unrelated or outdated material as current proof of work. This extends to manipulating Task findings, reviews, ratings, acceptance decisions, reports, or any other platform record to misrepresent what actually happened.
Harmful or Illegal Conduct
Users may not use ONETO to commit, plan, or document illegal activity, or to threaten or carry out violence, exploitation, harassment, discrimination, stalking, or abuse. This includes unauthorized entry, access, inspection, surveillance, or data extraction, and dangerous work carried out without the lawful authority, competence, safeguards, or insurance it requires. Trading in prohibited goods or services is not permitted.
Privacy and Confidentiality
Users may not publish private, confidential, or personal data without authority, or use ONETO to dox, unlawfully track, or misuse personal data about a person. Exact addresses, private phone numbers, identity documents, credentials, and similarly sensitive details belong in the platform's protected, participant-only fields — not in public Task or Signal content — and must not be collected or exposed beyond what a task genuinely requires.

Professional Misrepresentation
Users may not claim a professional qualification, license, or regulatory authority they do not hold, or request regulated professional work from someone who lacks the authority to perform it. Asking anyone to help evade a regulator is not permitted. Where ONETO displays a reviewed professional qualification through a platform Capability, that review is a limited, platform-display authority and must not be presented as a government license, certification, or regulatory approval.

Platform Integrity
Platform and Commission Evasion
Users may not move an ONETO-introduced transaction off-platform mainly to avoid a commission that would otherwise apply, or manipulate funding, ledger, refund, payout, commission, subscription, or referral state to obtain an outcome the platform's actual workflow did not produce. Attempts to bypass platform safeguards built to protect users or the integrity of a Task or Signal are not permitted.
Manipulation and Abuse of Platform Processes
Users may not manipulate reviews, ratings, reports, or acceptance decisions, retaliate against a reporter or reviewer, or interfere with moderation or audit records. Spam, scraping, reverse engineering, automated access without permission, security probing, and introducing malicious code are not permitted uses of ONETO.
Product-Specific Boundaries
Signal Content Boundaries
Signal authors are responsible for what they publish. Users may not publish knowingly false or materially misleading content, present unsupported accusations as established fact, fabricate sources, conceal a material commercial interest, or publish confidential or private data without authority. Malicious links, unauthorized regulated advice, intellectual-property infringement, and content designed to facilitate a prohibited Task or payment abuse are not permitted.
Task Boundaries
A Task must request lawful, safe, and genuinely observable work, with essential requirements disclosed before an executor accepts it — not revealed afterward. Users may not use a Task to obtain free preliminary work beyond its published scope, require covert recording or unlawful surveillance as "evidence," or ask an executor to work unsafely or outside their competence. An executor may not secretly transfer Task responsibility to an unauthorized third party.
What Happens When Rules Are Broken
ONETO does not automatically detect every violation of these rules, and not every violation results in an immediate or automatic outcome. The concrete tools available today are limited: in-product reporting exists for Signal content and Signal comments, and the one content-removal action available directly in the product is a Signal author or comment author removing their own content.
Platform governance and terms reserve a broader set of rights ONETO may exercise where supported — including restricting visibility, removing content, restricting an account, or suspending capabilities. Those are reserved rights, exercised with the tools available at the time, not a guaranteed or automatic action attached to every violation, and not all of them are built into an automated, staff-operated workflow today.

Whether or not an ONETO tool catches a specific violation, using ONETO to break these rules is itself a breach of ONETO's terms. Users remain responsible for their own unlawful, unsafe, or dishonest conduct.
These rules apply across Tasks, Signal, the Global Network, and messaging, whether or not a dedicated enforcement tool exists yet for a given surface.
