Recently, in conversations with some mining customers and equipment sellers in Zambia, I found that, in addition to focusing on equipment price, customers are increasingly valuing spare parts supply, repair response, and local after-sales capabilities. For equipment manufacturers preparing to enter the Zambian market, simply selling equipment is no longer enough; local service capability is becoming increasingly important.
